Christmas Eve at Pua'ena Point

We decided to spice things up a little for Christmas and try out a new beach.  We had heard that Pua'ena point in Hale'iwa was a great beginners break and had a decent beach for spectating and playing. We were not disappointed. We headed over with three other families and had a fun-filled day.

We hung out on the beach relaxing and sunbathing.

We explored the shoreline looking for interesting things.

We surfed.

One of the interesting things we found was lots and lots of hermit crabs.

We also found this dead eel. Yuck.
This is Afton, Austin, Cora and Nate climbing in and around and over interesting coral and rock formations.

More sea life to play with.  This one attacked Cora.  She dropped it and screamed and then started laughing hysterically.

This Sea Turtle is the first we've seen on land.  It crawled right up onto the beach  just a  few yards from all our stuff.

Afton posing with the turtle.  She is a ways away from the turtle even though it looks like she is sitting on his back.
Heath, always looking to the surf.

A fun day.  Everyone came home happy and tired.
