The girl's bathroom will be used as the guest bathroom and despite it's renterly imperfections (mismatched tile, dingy uneven paint and eclectic hardware) I wanted it to look nice. I was really struggling with how to decorate it-- moving framed art and pictures in and out, replacing various decor items--when Afton offered up her newest drawing, "Girl with Braided Hair", as a focal point.

She then ran to my fabric stash and found a great vintage sheer to hang in front of the white shower curtain. I hemmed the edges and, at her suggestion again, stitched sheer black ribbon ties across the top.
This bathroom looks better. Thank you Afton for taking over this little project. Eleven years old and already a good eye for design.
