This weekend Dave decided to list his motorcycle at the top of the market. He put it on Craigslist and ADVrider on Saturday. By Sunday he had a list of requests to see the bike and made his first appointment for Monday night at 5:30. At 6:30 the bike was gone and we had the full asking price in hand. We also had a huge hole in the pit of our stomachs.
We have had it since before Cora was born. We have had it longer than any other vehicle we currently own or have previously owned. We took careful care of it, always kept it garaged, well maintained and used regularly. We drove it through the hills of the Sierra Nevada's, across the deserts of central California. We rode it up to Victoria BC for a weekend away and around the Olympic Peninsula for an anniversary trip. Last summer Dave drove it down the Oregon Coast and for many summers he rode it out to fishing holes, water polo matches and even to work.
We both loved that bike and all I have to say is Hawaii better be worth the loss of that motorcycle.
