Shopping List and Menu 9/9/10

Here's my weekly shopping list in which I use the grocery ads and coupons to feed my family of 6 for under $60 each week. To learn more about how you can save money at the grocery store read my Grocery Shopping 101 series of posts. This list is specific to Puget Sound area stores and sales.

**2 boxes Kellogg's cereal $2.49 ea-$1 coupon
$17.00-$10 mega coupon from transaction #2
total $7.00 + get a $10 coupon for next transaction

Transaction #4
2 gallons of milk $1.99/gallon
3 5oz Chicken of the Sea Tuna 50 cents ea (limit 3)

**4 pkgs totinos pizza rolls 50 cents ea - .80 manuf coupons

Albertsons Total $31.60
Albertson's has been running double-coupon coupons (up to $3 per transaction) every other weekend.  I will wait to shop Alby's until Monday hoping that they continue this pattern.  I will save an additional $11.30 by doing this bringing my total to $20.30 for EVERYTHING I purchase at Albertson's.

This is what we are going to have on the menu using the groceries I purchased this week and the stockpile in my pantry and freezer from previous weeks and months of $60 shopping lists. Remember that one of my New Year's goals is to serve a meatless meal once a week, and we have three theme nights per week: Taco Tuesday, Pizza Friday, and Breakfast for dinner on Sundays.

Thursday- Roasted Chicken, Garlic Smashed potatoes and green beans
Friday-Pizza night! BBQ chicken pizza
Saturday- Chicken noodle soup, tossed salad and bread sticks
Sunday-Breakfast for dinner! Waffles with fresh blackberry syrup
Monday-Artichoke & Spinach Lasagna, salad, french bread
Tuesday-Taco Tuesday! hard shell beef tacos with all the fixin's
Wednesday-Stir Fry
