In case you're not one of the first 4000 people to respond and you don't get a free pack here is my recipe for window cleaner. It is inexpensive and works very well.
The BEST Glass cleaner (according to Consumer Reports 1988)
Use a funnel to pour the following ingredients into a gallon container with a lid (an empty windex refill container works great):
1/2 c. sudsy ammonia
1 pint (2 cups) rubbing alcohol
1 tsp. dish soap
a few drops of blue food coloring (if desired)
Add enough water to make a gallon. Put on the cap and shake to combine. Be sure to mark your container. Again using a funnel, pour desired amount into a squirt bottle and use like you usually do on many surfaces. Works exceptionally well at removing grease splatter from kitchen surfaces.
For my exterior windows I like to use simply warm soapy water and a good scrub brush to wash them. I spray them with clean cool water to rinse and then squeegee them dry. To make your windows really sparkle dry/buff them with newspaper after squeegeeing them.
And don't forget to wash your screens too!
For best results wash your windows on a cool dry day. If it is hot and the soap and water dry on the windows before you can squeegee and newspaper buff you may get soap residue and water spots (mineral stains) on your windows.
