These are the yummy goodies the girls and I made for their class parties.
These are white marshmallow fudge treats. Very tasty!
Sift 1 lb powdered sugar into a large bowl. Using clean scissors cut in half16 jumbo marshmallows. Place marshmallows into a small pot. Add 2 T milk, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/2 t vanilla to the pot. Heat the ingredients in the pot over medium heat, stirring, until everything has just melted. Remove pot from the heat and pour contents into the sifted powdered sugar. Mix until smooth. Add 1 drop red food coloring and mix until color has spread evenly throughout dough. Leave the mixture to cool for 10 minutes, then make it into a flattened round shape. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours. Sprinkle a little powdered sugar onto your work surgace and roll out the fudge to 1/4 inch thick. Use your favorite cutters to cut out lots of shapes. Squeeze scraps into a ball, re-roll and continue cutting out more candy shapes.
These are just plain ol' sugar cookies with butter cream frosting. We made 72 of these babies!
