Remembering our Lakewood Officers

Last Sunday was a sad day in Lakewood when four of our officers were killed in a Parkland coffee shop. Today is the memorial service at the Tacoma Dome.

We have many friends and a few family members who serve on police forces here in Lakewood and throughout the state of Washington. We knew one of the officers that was killed on Sunday. We are very sad and our hearts go out to those families and the nine children who are now without a parent.

We will be watching the memorial today and participating in one of the many fundraisers for the Lakewood Police Independent Guild Benevolent Fund: today and tomorrow Papa John's Pizza is donating all profit from their 40 Western Washington stores. (Yes, I'll buy pizza for a good cause)
