Leftover Potato Soup

It was good when it was all on your plate, why not in your soup?

1 T butter
1/2 c onion, chopped
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 c leftover ham, chopped
1-2 cups leftover potatoes (mashed, scalloped, au gratin, baked, whatever)
1-2 cups leftover green bean casserole
4-6 cups broth (chicken, beef, veg) or water

Melt butter in soup pot. Add chopped onion and garlic and cook down 3-5 minutes. Add ham, potatoes, casserole and broth. Bring to a simmer--don't boil! Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with leftover salad and leftover rolls.
